Lipo-Dissolve to Reduce Stubborn Fatty Areas <FAQ> <Back>

Lipo-Dissolve is an exciting technique developed in France by Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952 to deliver medications just below the skin surface. Originally a substance developed to lower cholesterol levels in the blood, made up of Soya oil, was used. The procedure has been used as a “spot fat treatment” to dramatically reduce cellulite and fat from individual parts of the body. While pills expose the entire body to chemical side effects, Lipo-Dissolve is injected only where it is needed. Lipo-Dissolve targets fat and connective tissues under the skin.  Lipo-Dissolve greatly reduces stubborn fat pads like "love handles", "baby belly" and "saddlebags". Over the past 50 years, more than 15,000 physicians world-wide have used Lipo-Dissolve for spot weight reduction. It can be used just about anywhere on the body, but is mostly used to treat abdomen, thighs, buttocks, “double” chins, knees, and ankles.

A small amount of medications are injected into the fat and connective tissue of the skin to dissolve fat globules without any adverse effects. At Rejuvenation Medical Spa a number of different pharmauceuticals are used, the exact "recipe" depends on the location and type of fat that is being addressed.  Phosphatidylcholine, aminophylline, deoxycholase, trental and l-carnitine are just some of those medications used.  Some act to break up and disperse the fat cells, while others increase the metabolism of those free fatty acids.  Treatments are individualized for each client.  The result is a significant reduction of the bulge after 4 to 5 treatments. Individual results may vary.  The medications used at Rejuvenation Medical Spa are always obtained from local pharmaceutical companies in the United States. All pharmaceuticals used FDA approved, however, the combination of these medicines for Lipo-Dissolve are considered "off-label" purposes.
