Appetite Suppressants are available in conjuction with the HCG diet if you still feel hunger or as a separate diet approach used on its own. At Rejuveantion Medical Spa we use phentermine as an appetite suppressant. It works by increasing your metabolic rate and decreasing your appetite, and is used in conjunction with an overall diet plan to reduce weight.
The 37.5mg tablet of Phentermine is taken once daily, on an empty stomach, 30-60 minutes before breakfast. The tablet may be broken or cut in half. Do not crush or chew tablet. Because this medication may cause insomnia, avoid taking a dose late in the day. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not take it more often or longer than directed.
Side effects of Phentermine may include dry mouth, insomnia, irritability, stomach upset or constipation may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication.
Contraindications of Phentermine include high blood pressure, an over-active thyroid, glaucoma, know hypersensitivity, history of drug abuse, diabetes, pregnancy, breat-feeding or emotional problems. Alcohol should be limited because it can increase unwanted side effects such as dizziness. This drug is not recommended for use in children.
Phentermine may interact with some medications, especially if you take high blood pressure medicine or MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) or any other weight loss medicine. Avoid "stimulant" drugs that may increase your heart rate or blood pressure such as decongestants or caffeine. Decongestants are commonly found in over-the-counter cough and cold medicine.
If you miss a dose, do not double the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.
Appetite suppressants are not a substitute for proper diet. For maximum effects, this must be used in conjunction with a diet and exercise program.
